Chinese don't hug, it's real!

Before going to China, hug as much as you can!
It's a good exercise to love and be loved when practicing the arm opening movements.
For those who are from a non-hugging culture and get embarrassed by the hugs, feel free to print it on the t-shirt, wear this & have some fun to hug around.

Chinese people don't hug, especially between different genders, because they think it's a private gesture to show affection. Strangers' hug may freak them out. In Chinese culture, friends shake hands but seldom hug, maybe some guys will hug to show support for their friends.

Personally speaking, I never hugged before when I was in China, no matter with strangers, or with parents, with close friends, or with the relationships.
Then, I love the true Hawaiian hug, it's just full of welcome, love and trust, and I am never embarrassed by this hug, never. It's just heart melting welcome and pure love. Who will be embarrassed by the true welcoming hug, but behind the hug, the person has to be aware that
If it happens you are the first person to hug a Chinese person, with pure love and welcome, the power of the hug will build the friendship from this innocent purified hug.
Yet, don't hug a Chinese with other thoughts, at least, Chinese can tell whether it's a welcoming hug or a eating-tofu hug.
So at this level, teaching a Chinese to hug friends is really a way to open arms and hearts.
We don't have to generalize and apply to a group of people. They will choose what is the best in personal level. And sometimes, for those who knows the both, will make the peace among each other.
It's just a reminding, for those who are going to China, be aware of the difference; and for those who came from China, enjoy the hugging culture and learn new things from it.
Wear the clothes and show the hug in a powerfully pure way without other thought, or wear the clothes and be a confident as a non-hugging Chinese.
It's really personal Choice, and it's fun to be confident and unique.
