As the some reports from HHIC shows, obesity is growing in Hawaii,
http://hhic.org/005--obesity.asp
As the report shows,
http://hhic.org/obesity-hospitalizations.asp
if obesity brings the burden for hospital and economics, then reshaping the definition of the normal while enlarging the supply of healthy food might be the point to advocate.
but...i love fat stuffs, like some of my friends may agree with me that round = cute, such as, stuff animals....^^|||
they all are cute and fat!!!
or infants...
or even the cupid...lol
why we define obesity as a disease, not the other way around?

>_<...
------------seriously -----------------seriously ------------
if obesity brings the burden for hospital and economics, then reshaping the definition of the normal while enlarging the supply of healthy food might be the point to advocate.
+Promote & support local farms to Grow Healthy Food,
- > supply of healthy food > need;
->price changing
-> people will consider the healthy food considering its competitive price.
+ Learn from healthy food cultures.
Japan is famous for long lifespan, though eating Japanese food might risk for monosodium glutamate, as scientifically proved unhealthy, though average working hours and working pressure in Japan is higher than lots of other places.
Looking into food of Japan, it's all about healthy food.
It's a great gift to borrow, since the population in Hawaii is huge.
+ If eating habit and way of life is the major reason of obesity,
then what brings the eating habit and pattern of life?
It can be influenced by the definition of the normal, the people around them, or the people whom they grow up with hang out with and work with,
which may includes parameters such as age , economic status, ethnicity, family culture, etc.
So, the obesity may be shifted if figuring out a way to break through those parameters.
Though, it's not gonna be a simple chain, and all the parameters are connected and influences each other like a wet.
People will regroup and re-divide again, as well as redefining the pattern of life and the definition of the normal.
Hopefully, if there is a trend of people regrouping, the obesity will be easier for Hawaii, since culture really is the huge
Optimists will think the change is always good, towards a way of learning to respect for the otherness.
